How do you change your Wordpress background/theme?

I have downloaded the theme but I have no idea on how to change my blog`s theme!!!! Please help.... I`ll choose ur answer as the best if you help me!

1. You mention having downloaded a theme. I am presuming that you have FTP'ed the unzipped theme files into a sub-folder within the wp-content/themes/ folder of your site. Log into your WordPress Admin area. You will see a top menu - the 6th item is Presentation. Select that, and you will then see Themes as the first su-menu item. Open the Themes page, and you should see your uploaded new theme as one of the available themes. Simply click on the image of the new theme to select it. Done
2. First of all download the theme to your hard drive. Unzip it. Then with an FTP software upload the unzipped directory to the wp-content/themes Then go to WP administration console and go to "PRESENTATION" option. There it must show your available themes and select the one you upload. Hope it works. Regards, Martin
