Problems altering a wordpress theme?

I'm new to wordpress and I have managed to upload a theme which is working fine at www.ukfinanceservice.com ....the problem is: 1. I dont know how to change the navigation bar going across the top (so I can add my own pages) 2. I cant seem to figure out how to get content to appear on the front page. Its been driving me mad for the last few hours - please help

1. I'm not the best person to attempt an answer as I've never come across Wordpress either! If you look down the Home page of their web site there's a section headed Great Help If You Need It. Try asking there. It may be that you cannot add your own navigation links. These type of sites are great for creating a simple blog but it looks like you are trying to do something more than that - what you've done so far looks very impressive! 2. 1. I'm not familiar with this theme, but did you create a page and publish it? Once you create a page, it should show up under a pages link or tab. I'd be willing to bet it's similar to home. To change the page, I suggest having a backup of the theme. To edit the theme, I would do it locally on my local machine with a text or html editor. Or, in the wordpress admin go to Presentation/Theme editor and change it there. You must be careful with the theme files - they have php scripting in them and you could easily break the theme. Backup. 2. To get content to appear on the frontpage, write a post. Go to go to write/post or write'/page. (Pages will not appear on the front page unless you tell it to do so) Don't forget to select a category, and publish. Get to know the admin. It's very important to wordpress.
