How Can I set Wordpress Blog categories?
I have just set up a Blog for my True Ghost Stories site. However, I don't know how to set the Categories. I want to removie the "Uncategorised" text and replace it with a list of categories (e.g. "Ghosts, Paranormal etc.). Anybody know how I can do this?

- Hi there! Here's how to set up categories: 1. Log into your Wordpress blog, so that you're at the "dashboard". 2. Your dashboard consists of 2 toolbars - a lighter blue on top, that has links like "Write", "Manage", "Comments", etc -- and a darker blue one below with "sub-links". 3. Click "Manage" on the lighter blue toolbar. 4. Click "Categories" on the darker blue toolbar below it. 5. Click "Add New", type in the name, and hit "add category". 6. Now, when you write a post, you'll see at the right of the "Write Post" page you can check off the category before you publish the post. If you find that most of your stories belong to one category, you can set it as your default category (instead of Uncategorised). To do this: 1. Click "Options" on the lighter blue toolbar. 2. Click "Writing" on the darker blue toolbar. 3. Change the default post category to whatever you want. Also, now you can have a sidebar that lists your categories, so that your visitors can choose a category themselves. A category won't show up until it has a post inside it. You can add a sidebar by doing this: 1. Click "Presentation" in the lighter blue toolbar. 2. Click "Widgets" in the darker blue toolbar. 3. Play around with the sidebar (it's in the "Available Widgets", you may need to scroll down.) I hope this helps...categories rock!
