What are the advantages of a blog with Wordpress compared to a page on your own domain?
I already have a blog (www.irishpolyglot.com) and I was considering making the move to Wordpress, but what are the advantages other than blog statistics (which I already have from google analytics)? Is there any real difference in just having my own one page - will more people access it etc.?

- Given that you can install Wordpress on your own server, the only advantage of the third party hosted version is that you don't have to pay for hosting (but you're doing that already) and not having to set the software up (but that isn't difficult).
