Making it is easy, now I would like to know if there is a good tutorial that would explain how to implement the new layout. If you guys know of any... The very best would be from Photoshop to Wordpress. ^_^ Wordpress does explain how to change things but one by one and it is not as custom. THANK YOU!!!

Any tips or an easy to follow tutorial for making Wordpress layouts? I know a fair bit of html and can alter parts of my existing wordpress layout but it still trips me up at times. How to display wordpress post of a specific category on an external php page.? I am working on a website, but one of the requirements is that i have is to be able to show announcements on a separate page. I am running the Xoops CMS, and being familiar with Wordpress i got the Xoops Wordpress module which is exactly the same only it allows the post to be displayed within the xoops cms. I decide that rather than manually updating the announcements page i would use wordpress and only display post from the announcements category. Using code from the first example on this website http://www.roccanet.com/blog/tutorial/tutorial-integrating-wordpress-2-blog-to-an-existing-site-with-cache/ i was able to get the wordpress post on an external php file. Unfortunately it displays all of the post from all categories. What i need is to display post from just my announcements category (i.e. category_id = 7 ). Although i am familiar with PHP programming, the MySQL/PHP part of it is something i am now getting into. All help with this would appreciated and i thank you in advance.

I have a WordPress 2.0 blog and am attempting to post an XML snidbit in it via the editor in the Dashboard, however, any time I put something in a tag ( <> ), it gets stripped out. Help me run Asides on Wordpress 2.0.3? Hi, im looking to add asides onto my wordpress installation. Its been upgraded and i cant change it back.Im trying to add asides now, but they just dont work.Iv also tried the Codex solution(from photomatt i believe) but its for older Wp's, not for the 2.0.3 because it just doesnt have the single line of the "date call" thats mentioned in that tutorial. Moving website to wordpress? Recently I've been wanting to upgrade my website and thought moving it to a wordpress platform would be ideal since it's mostly a php-based publishing website displaying articles and directories. Is this a good idea? I don't know how this will affect my current page links (since I guess I will need to convert them into permalinks?). Anyone who is experienced with Photoshop? 10 points? I am doing a school project, and i am good at photoshop (i have CS3), but i am not that good with the pen tool. Wordpress/comicpress question, how to manipulate templates? I just installed wordpress and comicpress templates onto my server. I like it a lot. I've gotten several pages made and I'm liking the interface a lot better than some other CMS I've tried so far. It was also the easiest to install. I've even embedded some html into some of the pages already. I see webcomics like PVP and etc are using wordpress but i don't understand how they are modifying their templates. Are there tutorials or anything that can help me figure out how to get started on this? I'm especially interested in learning a good workflow, I'm not sure if I'm being as efficient as I could be on this wordpress/comicpress stuff. background: I know HTML a lot. How do I make a website for my blog? I'm looking for a good, easy tutorial that will walk me through creating a website with my own domain and adding a blogger or wordpress blog to it. I know how to use blogger and wordpress, but creating a whole website and adding the blog to it is totally above my head. Young Website Developer: Help me chose a free web host!? Hey guys. I'm currently testing out Wordpress (.org) doftware to make a custom blog for my mother's business (photography). Wordpress (.com) did not work out, because it doesn't have plugin features and (free) CSS editing it's themes. Now, see, I'm only fourteen. I'm a fourteen year young boy. I am no hardcore "coder" but I can make my way around things with onloine tutorials, intuition, and cut & paste. I'm trying, right now, to make a dummy site to see if I'm even CAPABLE of making a custom theme for Wordpress. Now, I have no money. I have no choice but to choose a free (and crap-ish) web host. Should I get a new computer for what I want to do (e.g., building websites)? Here’s the deal: 1) I have a 1998 Dell PC w/ Windows98 that crashes about 6 times a day, that has a non-working CD-Rom drive, and which has a broken printer and won’t accept any other printers. Should I get a new computer (hopefully laptop or notebook) or upgrade in order to build a website/blog on my own? 2) I started a Wordpress.com freebie blog and now want to buy my own domain and build from the ground up--how easy is it to move my current content to the new location? 3) I’ve never done any website design but have started learning html through free tutorials on the web. Do I need to learn all the programming stuff first (i.e., xhtml, CSS, etc.) or can I learn as I build? 4) I have a disability which prevents me from carrying things (have to use a walker), so I need a computer light enough to go into a backpack, but effective enough for website building. Any suggestions for laptops or notebooks for $1200 or less?
